One more day of pleasant temperatures before a cooling trend begins

The Santa Ana winds in Ventura County will progressively taper Thursday evening, following the peak overnight and into this morning. The Wind Advisory for the Central and Southeastern Ventura County Valleys remains in effect until 5pm Thursday.

Temperatures remain above average into Friday, with sunny skies and highs primarily in the mid to upper 60s. Overnight lows remain in the 30s and 40s. Friday will be the last warm day before a cooling trend begins Saturday.

There will be a quick transition to below average temperatures this weekend from being well above average for much of this week. More clouds and the marine layer return early next week, followed by a slight chance of rain Sunday into Monday.

Dry conditions prevail by next Tuesday into Thursday, but temperatures remain cool and below average.
