Mild daytime temperatures, Wind Advisory issued for Ventura County

Above average temperatures are expected on Wednesday due to more offshore trends. High temperatures will primarily be in the upper 60s and low 70s for the South Coast and Ventura County. The Central Coast will enjoy highs in the 60s. Overnight lows remain in the 30s and 40s for both coastal and inland communities.

Sunny skies are set to accompany the mild daytime temperatures. Another Santa Ana wind event begins Wednesday, with the strongest winds expected Thursday morning. A Wind Advisory has been issued for most of Ventura County. It will be in effect from 2am-2pm on Thursday for Ventura County Beaches and Inland Coast, with winds between 24-35 mph and gusts up to 50 mph. It will be in effect from 7pm-6am Thursday for Ventura County Mountains and Valleys, with winds between 25-40 mph expected and gusts up to 55 mph.

A High Surf Advisory remains in effect due to dangerous rip currents and the increased risk of drowning. It will be in effect until 6pm on Wednesday for Ventura County Beaches and until 10pm Wednesday for the beaches of the Central Coast.

Temperatures significantly cool this weekend and cloudy conditions prevail.
