Light rain this weekend, heavy rain early next week

Following Friday's sunny and dry weather, clouds and a chance of rain returns over the weekend. Light, scattered showers begin late Saturday and linger into much of the day on Sunday. The system is expected to fizzle out before it reaches Ventura County.

High Surf remains a concern, which is why a High Surf Advisory remains in effect until 6am Saturday for Santa Barbara County's Southwestern and Southeastern Coast. It will be in effect until 6pm Saturday for San Luis Obispo County Beaches, Central Coast Beaches, and Ventura County Beaches. The waves are beautiful, but make sure to maintain a healthy distance in order to ensure your safety.

Conditions are expected to be stormy once again on Monday and Tuesday, with heavy rain and strong winds returning to the region.
