Warm Winter Weather

Temperatures will briefly cool on Thursday before significantly warming up just in time for the holiday weekend. Potentially record-breaking temperatures are expected for much of the region, as we are generally above seasonal average.

Highs for much of the region will be in the 60s on Thursday before soaring to the 70s by the weekend. Strong offshore winds are expected, but wind speeds should remain below advisory levels for much of the evening and into the morning.

A Beach Hazard Statement has been issued for Ventura County beaches due to dangerous rip currents and an elevated surf between 3-6 feet. There is an increased risk of drowning during these conditions, thus it is best to avoid the area for the time being. It will be in effect from Thursday evening until Saturday morning.

A rapid cooldown is on deck for next week, with a chance of showers on Tuesday.
