Tuesday morning forecast May 11th

Temperatures will warm by a couple of degrees on the coast and more significantly inland. Coasts will be in the 60s to low 70s and valleys will be in the 70s to 80s.

High pressure is starting to build into the region. Morning low clouds will clear a bit quicker as onshore flow weakens and even flips lightly offshore in some areas.

Ridging continues building over California Wednesday, but an onshore push will deepen the marine layer again in the afternoon. Most areas will warm by another couple of degrees, except for beaches with a strong sea breeze.

Weak ridging will continue Thursday, but the ridge will flatten Friday. Strong onshore flow will set in with no clearing of the marine layer in beach areas.

A cool upper low will hit the region over the weekend with temperatures decreasing by a few degrees, bringing the region slightly below average.
