Sunday Evening Forecast May 2nd

(SHAWN)
Cooler weather has returned as the marine layer thickens up just a bit. Onshore flow continues and more fog will drift over the region through the evening and in to early Monday. We are also seeing some wind again and a widespread Wind Advisory is in place. For portions of San Luis Obispo & Ventura Counties, the advisory is expected to expire late Sunday evening. For portions of Santa Barbara County will last in to very early Monday.  Temperatures will be mostly in 60's and 70's for Monday with just a few 80's likely in the warmest locations.
Looking ahead, a quick rebound in temperatures is expected for Monday and through about the middle of next week as high pressure builds. The warming trend shouldn't be on the level of what we just experienced, but widespread 70's and 80's are expected and maybe a few 90's!. High pressure will weaken as we head in to next weekend and that means the marine layer will deepen bringing another cool down. This will be associated with an approaching low pressure system along the West Coast. Unfortunately, no rain is expected as any and all moisture will likely stay to our north yet again. On the upside, next weekend is Mother's Day and aside from the cooler temperatures and some fog, it should be a nice one weather-wise!
