Friday Morning Forecast April 30th

Been a very warm last few days and now we are seeing the expected return of the marine influence and cooler weather. Look for mostly clear skies with possibly a little fog right along portions of our coastline. Temperatures will stay very warm even hot inland with highs in the 80's and 90's. Beaches will likely stay in the 60's and 70's. Breezy and possibly gusty northerly winds are expected by early evening. The South Coast of Santa Barbara may even see a Win d Advisory posted. We will keep a close eye on that and update our forecast as needed if the winds get strong enough.

Looking ahead, more fog will return to our region with overall cooling expected in to the weekend. Beaches will stay mostly in the 60's with inland areas in the 70's and 80's. A slight warming trend is expected early next week, but nothing too eventful or out of the ordinary. We are also keeping an eye on the wind. This time of year, northerly winds are a regular part of the weather story for this region. This year is exceptionally dry with no real rain expected anytime soon. Fire concerns are already in place and any strong wind is bad for fire fighting efforts. We are keeping vigilant and watching the forecast closely as head in to May!
