Central Coast seeing dreary skies and drizzle

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A slight chance of drizzle is expected for coastal areas this morning as we wake up to a deep marine layer. Clouds will extend into inland valleys and linger for most of the day. Temperatures will stay on the cool side, with highs in the low to mid-60s for most areas. Northern Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County could see breezy afternoon winds developing as well.

On Thursday we are expecting a similar day weather-wise, with one low pressure system moving east and another dipping down into our area. Temperatures will stay cool with more clouds expected, especially in the morning. We could again see drizzle fall in some coastal areas.

Looking ahead to the weekend, a high pressure ridge may bring slightly improved conditions on Friday with quicker clearing… though we should still see a thick marine layer. On Saturday we'll see warmer temperatures and more sunshine before a chance for more substantial rain arrives late Sunday.
