Thursday morning forecast October 8th

Temperatures continue to cool down by a couple of degrees. Coasts will still be in the 60s to 70s, and inland areas will be in the upper 70s, below seasonal norms. Expect the coolest temperatures of the week on Thursday in most areas.

The marine layer is deepening, reaching past the coast and closer to inland areas. Morning commuters may see dense patches of fog and should use caution.

By Friday, some locally gusty winds are expected around Gaviota and Refugio Beach. There may also be light morning drizzle in the area. Overnight Friday and into Saturday morning, there is a slight chance of drizzle across the region.

Santa Ana winds move into the area Monday. There is a chance that a wind advisory may be issued. With stronger winds and dry conditions, there is an elevated risk of fire. Temperatures will be warmest Monday and Tuesday, and will likely stay well above normal the remainder of the week.
