Tuesday morning forecast October 6th

Temperatures are on the whole slightly cooler than Monday. Coastal areas are still in the 60s to 80s, and inland is in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Temperatures are near normal on the coast, but slightly above normal inland.

There is a dense fog advisory in effect on the central and south coasts until 9:00 am Tuesday. Drivers should use caution and leave plenty of space in between them and the next car. There is also an air quality advisory in Ventura County until 9:00 am.

Onshore flow is bringing the marine layer into the coast overnight and into morning. Expect patchy dense fog Tuesday morning and partly cloudy skies by afternoon on the coast. By Friday, temperatures will be slightly below normal mostly everywhere because of the marine layer.

Cloud cover will increase everywhere by Friday and Saturday. Saturday, the skies will be mostly cloudy everywhere. With more moisture in the air, there is a slight chance of rain Friday and Saturday in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties.
