Sunday Evening Forecast Sept 20th

Just a little marine layer fog near the coast today kept some beaches on the cool side. Otherwise, a great day with mostly sunny skies, less smoke and haze and mostly seasonal temperatures. We currently have no weather related alerts. We could see a northerly wind develop through the evening and in to early Monday along the Gaviota Coast.  Overnight lows will be in the 50's and 60's and Monday looks great with another round of mild to warm temperatures expected.
Looking ahead, a steady onshore flow will persist over the region which is good news as we don't see any significant weather concerns in the near future. Pacific storms have lined up and taken aim at Washington and Oregon, bringing some much needed rain to fife ravaged areas. We will not see much in the way of rainfall in California, but the onshore flow is still much better than the dry and hot offshore winds that made the fires so large and tragic. A slight warm up is expected around Thursday of next week before cooling down slowly again as we head in to next weekend. And, by the way, this Tuesday is the start of Fall!
