Sunday Evening Forecast Aug 23

Another smoky and very warm day!   Current advisories including, air quality and flash flood watches have been allowed to expire. Luckily all of our weather concerns, including the recent heat wave are getting better!
For the overnight and in to Monday, look for patchy fog along the coast, smoky skies and diminishing chances for thunderstorms. Highs will be in the 60's and 70's near the coast. Inland areas will go back up in to the 80's and 90's.
Looking ahead, remnant moisture will slowly dry up as we head in to next week and that should help reduce humidity. We will see gradually cooler weather for all areas, but things will stay on the warm side through much of next week. Smoke will likely remain a concern as the fires rage all around California. We will monitor closely each day and advise you of any official advisories. We will also be monitoring very closely the likelihood of two Tropical systems affecting the Gulf Coast!  Very unusual and possibly very destructive back to back systems early next week!  WOW!
