Friday evening forecast May 22nd

Friday we saw cooler conditions thanks to an upper level disturbance over Northern California. Daytime highs along the coast in the mid 60s to mid 70s and upper 70s to low 80s inland. Winds will also be the strongest on Friday with the potential for power outages and broken tree limbs.

A Wind Advisory for the Santa Barbara South Coast will continue until 3AM Saturday. Northwest winds will range 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Saturday will start off with a marine layer but by the afternoon we expect a good amount of sunshine.  Highs on Saturday will be a couple degrees warmer than Friday and near normal.

High pressure aloft will build and impact the area Sunday through Friday brining very warm conditions away from the coast.

Memorial Day will be mostly sunny with highs well above average in the 80s along the coast and 90s inland.  The well above average temperatures and mostly sunny skies will last through at least next Thursday.
