Tuesday evening forecast May 12th

Tuesday a weak cold front moved across our area.  It brought some cities a couple hundredths of an inch of rain but the majority just saw some light drizzle in the morning.

Now that the chance of showers has left our forecast area the biggest impact is the wind.  Wind will be breezy tonight with gusty conditions for your Wednesday through Friday forecast.  The strongest wind will be in the Santa Barbara County mountains and south coast.  Wind gusts up to 40-50 mph are expected Thursday night.

Wednesday we will continue with the mild temperatures and partly cloudy skies.  Highs along the Central Coast will primarily be in the upper 60s while the South Coast will warm into the 70s.  This is because the Central Coast is still expecting a marine layer while the south coast will see more sunshine.

Some warming will develop for the latter half of the week.  Thursday we will see the peak of this wind event and will also have temperatures back to above average.

By the middle of the weekend we will see cooler temperatures once again as the deep marine layer returns.
