Friday evening forecast May 8th

Increasing onshore flow will bring a gradual cooling trend through the weekend as a high pressure system moves east. Continued cooling and a deep marine layer will develop early next week ahead of an upper-level trough of low pressure over the eastern Pacific. The trough could bring light showers to the area Tuesday. Persistent night through morning low clouds and fog are expected for the coast and valleys Wednesday through Friday.

Friday we saw noticeably cooler conditions but it as still warm out there with highs along the coast in the upper 70s to mid 80s and the valleys in the upper 80s to 90s.

This weekend we will see further cooling as our marine layer gradual increases.  Expect Saturday to be partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid 70s along the coast.  By Sunday the marine layer will be thicker with highs dropping to the lower 70s along the coast.  The warmest valleys will cool down to the low 80s.  Both days we still expect to get a good amount of sunshine as we head into the afternoon.

For the first time in awhile we have a chance of getting rain.  Small amounts are expected on Tuesday.
