Tuesday evening forecast April 28th

A high pressure ridge over southwest California will slowly move east on Wednesday. Areas of low clouds and fog will be common the next couple of nights along coastal beaches. Slightly cooler temperatures will be felt with afternoon seabreezes through Thursday. Sundowner winds will return to the Santa Barbara south coast Thursday night and Friday.

Tuesday we saw warmer conditions, with temperatures back into the 80s for several locations under mostly sunny skies.  We also are enjoying calmer winds.

Wednesday we will see temperatures cool several degrees.  This is as the ridge moves east.  We will also see more cloud cover on Wednesday.  Some areas of the central coast will likely see dense fog at times with patchy fog south of Point Conception. During the day expect mid and high cloud cover.  Highs will be much cooler in the 70s along the coast and 80s in the valleys.

On Thursday, expect patchy low clouds in the morning along the coasts and higher clouds clearing out during the day.  Temperatures will be a little warmer as northerly winds start to pick up late in the day.  Gusty conditions are to be expected once again for the Santa Barbara south coast and mountains.

Friday is looking like a day with more sunshine and more comfortable temperatures.  Where northerly winds linger near the Santa Barbara County south coast temperatures are likely to be a little warmer compared to other locations. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s.

For the long term we are expecting to stay mostly sunny with warmer than average temperatures and no rain in the measurable future.
