Wednesday evening forecast April 15th
The warm and sunny trend will break with seasonably cooler conditions. This is due to an upper level low that is expected to move across Southern, California, bringing more clouds and much cooler weather. The system is expected to be weak but could still bring a chance of scattered showers for Friday into early Saturday.
As the marine layer develops Thursday many coastal areas will wake up to patchy fog and low level clouds. Activity will gradually clear leading to partly to mostly sunny skies for the afternoon. The biggest impact will be our temperatures with a 5-15 degree drop expected. The majority of the region will experience daytime highs in the mid to upper 60s. With some interior valleys still warming to the low 70s.
As the system continues to settle for Friday a deeper marine layer could be expected along with heavier fog and a slight chance of showers. At this time models don't indicate a lot of moisture with the system. The best chance will be for mountains with up to 0.10" possible. Otherwise looking at a gloomy day with mainly cloudy skies. Temperatures along the coast and valleys will warm in the low to mid 60s on Friday.
Less clouds for Saturday with many areas getting to enjoy a couple breaks of sunshine. More clouds move in for Sunday and another chance of rain will be possible for Monday. The Sunshine will return on Tuesday along with a warming trend.
