Tuesday evening forecast April 14th

Temperatures will remain warm on Wednesday. Overnight and morning coastal low clouds and cooler temperatures return on Thursday with a slight chance of rain Friday and Monday.

Tuesday we saw gorgeous mostly sunny skies and warmer than average temperatures.  Highs today climbed into the 70s in most locations.  Gusty offshore Santa Ana winds in Ventura County brought highs in Oxnard into the upper 70s.

Winds will weaken on Wednesday but we will still see a similarly warm day.  Highs will be above average primarily in the 70s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Development of an eddy will help to bring low clouds back to the coast Thursday morning and into some of the adjacent valleys. Add in some widespread high clouds and regional temperatures will drop notably but remain seasonal brining us back into the mid to upper 60s.

Overnight Thursday into Friday, a weak upper low tracking down the coast will hook inland just over/south of Los Angeles.  This should provide some additional rainfall through Friday evening ranging from sprinkles to a tenth or two highest amounts falling in the foothills and mountains.

Lingering clouds and a sprinkle or two early on Saturday will be followed by cool afternoon temperatures and another chance for rain on Sunday/Monday and maybe even into Tuesday. This next chance looks to be on par with the Friday system in that most locations will get less than a tenth and the foothills and mountains will get a bit more. Conditions overall, though, will be continued cloudy and cool.
