Wednesday evening forecast – April 1st

The beginning of April brought beautiful sunny skies, warm temperatures along with advisory level winds. This allowed conditions across the central and south coasts to remain relatively clear. As a system remains to the north of our region we will favor a dry weather pattern through Saturday. With the next rain maker expected to arrive Sunday into early next week.

A Wind Advisory will remain in effect for the Santa Barbara South Coast and county mountains until Thursday morning. North winds will range between 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Along with strong winds a marine layer will develop during our overnight hours with morning patchy fog. Daytime highs along the coasts and valleys will warm to the upper 60s and low 70s.

As conditions clear the pattern of sunshine will repeat for Friday. Pleasant temperatures and lighter winds will conclude the week for valleys and coasts. The cooling trend will continue as a storm begins to move in for Saturday night and into Sunday morning. An increase in cloud coverage could be expected for the weekend with the storm likely to peak Sunday and Monday.
