Friday morning forecast – Dec. 20th

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Friday could be the warmest day of the week for the Central and South Coast. Highs should reach the upper-60s to around 70 degrees in some spots. We will stay dry and see mostly sunny skies with just some coastal clouds. Lows tonight will reach the low to mid-40s and the mid-30s in the valleys.

On Saturday, temperatures will cool slightly. We'll see more cloud cover as the day goes on while the next storm system approaches the West Coast. Highs will reach the mid to upper-60s, with rain arriving Sunday morning.

This next system could bring a half inch to an inch of rain for coastal areas, with more possible for the mountains and foothills. Rain will last through Sunday with showers possible again on Monday. We'll see just a slight chance of rain on Tuesday before a better chance for precipitation to return on Wednesday, Christmas Day.
