Thursday morning forecast May 28th

Santa Barbara, Calif. - More and more parts of the California Central Coast and South Coast are feeling the effects of the mild marine layer clouds and fog, but our hottest inland valleys will still receive plenty of sun and heat. A Heat Advisory continues for the interior valleys of San Luis Obispo County through 7pm. Highs will range from the coastal 60s to the inland valley lower 100s.

An area of low pressure is approaching California from the southwest, and it will increase both our marine layer clouds and our higher level clouds Friday and Saturday, with a chance for some light rain showers. We'll have a mostly cloudy Sunday with breezes, followed by more marine layer air next Monday and Tuesday. Next Wednesday looks to be dry for our area for now.

Daytime highs will remain fairly steady for coastal areas in the mid to upper 60s. Coastal valleys will cool from the upper 70s and lower 80 to the lower and mid 70s. Inland valleys will be hot today with 90s and 100s, cooling into the upper 70s and lower 80s by next week. Lows will remain mild for all areas, staying mainly in the 50s for both the coasts and the valleys.
