Monday morning forecast May 11th

Santa Barbara, Calif. - After a mild, marine layer weekend around the California Central Coast and South Coast, the May Gray pattern continues on Monday with plenty of low clouds, areas of fog, and light drizzle settling from the clouds in some places. We'll get sunshine by this afternoon for our inland and coastal valleys, but the coasts will stay gray. Highs will be in the 60s and lower 70s.

A small disturbance will move over California on Tuesday, and it will bring with it the first chance for real rain we've had in several weeks. Only light amounts of rain are expected, however. Once that disturbance leaves we can expect fewer clouds and stronger wind Wednesday through Friday with a warming trend through Saturday before our highs cool on Sunday.

Daytime highs will be below average early this week before the wind and clearing sky bring us above average highs. Highs will begin in the 60s and lower 70s, warming to a range of the lower 70s to lower 80s. Overnight lows will remain warmer than average through the weekend with a combination of clouds and wind, ranging from the upper 40s to the upper 50s.
