Wednesday morning forecast May 6th

Santa Barbara, Calif. - It's been warm and windy thus far this week around the California Central Coast and South Coast, and it will get windier today along with more heat today and tomorrow. A High Wind Warning is in effect for Santa Barbara County and a Wind Advisory is in effect for Ventura County through this morning. Highs will be mainly in the 80s today, with a few lower 90s.

Thursday will be hotter than Wednesday for most areas, which is why all coastal locations and the Santa Ynez Valley will be under a Heat Advisory from late this morning through Thursday evening. Our weather will begin cooling on Friday, and that cooling trend will continue through Mother's Day weekend and early next week with more marine layer clouds arriving.

Daytime highs will be mainly in the 80s and 90s today and tomorrow, with all areas cooling from Friday through early next week back to a range of the mid 60s to mid 70s by next Tuesday. Overnight lows will remain quite mild with first windy weather and then increasing marine layer clouds. Lows will stay mainly in the 50s, with a few upper 40s and a few lower 60s.
