Wednesday evening forecast April 22nd

Plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures arrived for Wednesday along with gusty winds. A High Wind Warning will remain in effect for Southern Santa Barbara County coasts and mountains until Friday morning. This means north winds will range from 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

Temperatures will continue to rise as a ridge of high pressure builds along Southwestern, California. This will keep conditions seasonably warm on Thursday by 10 to 15 degrees across the Central and South Coasts. Daytime highs along the coasts and valleys will reach the mid to upper 80s.

The heat will peak for Friday and Saturday with near record temperatures possible. This will prompt a Heat Advisory across San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura County through Saturday evening. Temperatures will be well above average in the upper 80s to low 90s possible.

The ridge of high pressure will break on Sunday bringing slightly cooler temperatures. However, areas will still remain above average with very little relief. The dry weather pattern will follow with consistently warm and sunny days ahead.
