Tuesday evening forecast

Santa Barbara, Calif. - The sunshine was plentiful over the California Central Coast and South Coast today, but the wind was blowing, and we haven't seen the end to the wind yet. A High Wind Warning is in effect for the mountains of Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties, a Wind Advisory is in effect for the South Coast, and a High Surf Advisory is in effect for the Central Coast this week.

An inside slider trough of low pressure will move to the east and then south of California, bringing more wind Wednesday and early Thursday. A ridge of high pressure will bring more sun and warmth Friday and Saturday before another inside slider brings more clouds, more wind and cooler air late Sunday and Monday. The weather should be quieter next Tuesday.

Daytime highs will vary greatly, with the warmest days coming Friday and Saturday. Valleys: 60s and a few lower 70s Friday and Saturday. Coasts: the mid to upper 60s to the mid to upper 70s.
