Friday morning forecast September 25

A slight cool down could be expected for Friday, as a trough rolls through our region. By Saturday a ridge of high pressure will begin to strengthen allowing for a gradual warming trend over the weekend. More significant warming arrives on Monday and through Friday. This heat wave will bring the potential for triple digit temperatures inland. While the coastal areas could warm in the 90s through midweek.

Friday will likely be the coolest day possible within the next seven days. Temperatures will drop about 3 to 6 degrees for most areas, with the Central Coast looking at a more significant cool down. Daytime highs along the coastal areas in the 60s to 70s. Interior valleys and mountains warm in the mid to upper 80s.

An elongated ridge of high pressure will begin to strengthen on Saturday across the west coast. The start to the weekend will feel warm and breezy. However, offshore trends will likely be stronger Monday and Tuesday. This will bring hot and dry conditions across the forecast, with peak heat expected midweek.
