Tuesday morning forecast September 8th

Temperatures will drop to near average Tuesday, as the ridge of high pressure weakens and onshore flow strengthens. Strong Santa Ana winds will develop Tuesday afternoon over the Ventura County mountains. With Santa Ana winds impacting the coast and interior valleys by Wednesday. Looking ahead, a warming trend will return across the interior valleys for the weekend.

A northwest flow allowed for clouds to usher along the coast and across some interior valleys. This will lead to further cooling across the region. Since the South Coast experience cooling on Monday, highs will only drop 2 to 5 degrees. However, the Central Coast could cool an additional 10 to 20 degrees, allowing for seasonal conditions.

Hot, dry and windy conditions will elevate fire danger through Wednesday. A Wind advisory will be in effect from across Ventura County from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday evening. A Fire Weather advisory will also be in effect across Ventura County, from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday evening.
