Wednesday morning forecast August 19th

It's going to be another scorcher for Wednesday as temperatures remain well above average. A Heat Advisory issued across San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Central Coast remains in effect until Thursday. With an Excessive Heat Warning remaining active across the interior valleys.

Due to heavy smoke, air quality could be an issue across San Luis Obispo County. An Air Quality alert will remain in effect for Paso Robles and Atascadero until Friday morning. The smoke has also created debris clouds that lead to partly sunny skies across the region.

The ridge of high pressure will begin to weaken on Thursday bringing some cooling. This will also allow the onshore flow to strengthen a tad, prompting more clouds. However, it will be a very slow cooling trend with temperatures still remaining above average through the weekend.
