Monday evening forecast April 27th

Sunny skies, warm temperatures and gusty northerly winds will continue to dominate the region for a majority of this week. Due to this activity a Wind Advisory remains in effect for southern Santa Barbara County until Tuesday morning. Strong north to northwest winds between 15 to 25 mph are possible for the afternoon and evening. Damaging winds are likely along the south coasts and mountains with gusts 45 to 50 mph.

As a ridge of high pressure strengthens for Tuesday this will bring notably warmer temperatures across the region. This could be the warmest day out of the week with well above average conditions. Daytime highs across the valleys and coasts will warm in the 80s to low 90s. An increase in cloud coverage will develop for Tuesday night.

A marine layer will greet the coasts and valleys on Wednesday morning bringing areas of fog and low cloud coverage. This will cool temperatures an additional 5 to 7 degrees, allowing for some nice relief especially for the interior valleys. Daytime highs will still remain above average.

Due to strong winds temperatures will warm right back up for Thursday with advisory level winds possible. Warmer air will push a northerly flow, prompting temperatures back in the low to mid 80s.
