SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- The 16th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday celebration kicked off Monday at the Arlington Theater.

This is a free program that honors the legacy of Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement.

Many visitors who attended this event vividly recall what it was like to grow up during this tumultuous time in U.S. history.

They stressed the importance of keeping Dr. King’s legacy alive and how critical it is to attend events like this celebration.
