The Santa Barbara Saints will play at SoFi Stadium in the Super Bowl against Saugus.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The NFL is hosting Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium on February 13, 2022 but for some local youth players the big game happens this Thursday, November 11, 2021.

The Santa Barbara Saints Sophomores of 10,11 and 12 year olds will play Saugus in the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium at 2:45pm.

SoFi is the home of the Los Angeles Rams and LA Chargers.

Santa Barbara beat Saugus 6-0 earlier this season.

The Saints are looking for a repeat as they went undefeated last year and won the title game but that was not played in a pro stadium.

Santa Barbara has about 15 returning players from that championship team and they are led by their five captains: Samuel Boeddeker, Lukas Mendoza, Nate Meister, Vonn Forrest, and Nate Kittle.

Kittle scored the only points in that Saugus win back in September.

The Saints head coach is Nate Mendoza who used to be the Dos Pueblos High School varsity head football coach.
