Bishop Diego junior Tyler Williams named MVP of Tri-Valley League in boys basketball

Bishop Diego High School junior Tyler Williams was named Most Valuable Player in the Tri-Valley League in boys basketball.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Tyler Williams was named the Most Valuable Player in the Tri-Valley League after he helped the Bishop Diego Cardinals finish in first place.

The junior averaged 17 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

Along with Williams, five other Cardinals received league honors.

Senior Matthew Cunningham, junior Kai Morphy and sophomore Bryan Trejo were selected First Team All-League.

Second Team honors went to junior Marcus Chan and senior Connor Streett.

For Chan it capped off an outstanding athletic year as he was All-State in football as well.
