Nipomo wins at the buzzer in overtime to advance to CIF-CS D3 basketball final

FRESNO, Calif. - Joey Garcia beat the buzzer on a putback bucket in overtime as Nipomo upset Hoover 77-75 in a CIF-CS Division 3 semifinal game.

The Titans advance to play at Bakersfield Christian for the championship on Friday.

After Hoover tied the game at 75 with a free throw with 8.9 seconds left in overtime, Daren Sosa raced up the court and missed a driving, acrobatic shot.

Gianni Hart kept the ball alive and Garcia swooped in for the game-winner.

Hoover thought the ball was still in Garcia's hand when the buzzer sounded but the referees called it good and Nipomo is off the the title game.
