Carpinteria High School baseball loses 2nd round playoff game

Carpinteria lost 2-1 in a CIF-SS Division 6 second round game.

CARPINTERIA, Calif. - This time the Warriors lost a pitcher's duel in the playoffs.

After winning a wild card game 1-0 and a first round contest 3-2, Carpinteria lost a low-scoring CIF Division 6 second round home game 2-1 to Linfield Christian.

Erich Goebel had three hits for the Warriors and knocked in a first-inning run.

Miles Souza did not allow an earned run but took the loss.

The Warriors finish 13-7.
