Santa Barbara High School girls golf win their fourth straight Channel League championship.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara High School girls golf seniors went out with another Channel League title but San Marcos freshman Jayla Provance showed that the future is bright for the Royals.

Seniors Melia Haller and Lizzie Goss led the Dons to their fourth consecutive league crown as they fired nine-hole scores of 40 and 41 respectively at the Santa Barbara Golf Club where par is 37.

Two other Dons seniors Aoife Braverman and Zion Sada shot 43 and 47 respectively.

The Dons beat the Royals 216-242 to improve to 9-1 in league and 12-1 overall.

The Royals got an outstanding performance from Provance who was the Medalist after shooting a 2-under par 35 which head coach Sarah Ashton believes is a new school record.

She had three birdies and a terrific sand save on the ninth hole.

The Channel League individual tournament begins Wednesday in Nipomo.
