SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Ryan Speshyock provided an impressive encore to his 17-strikeout performance in his last outing versus Santa Ynez.

This time Speshyock pitched another complete game as he held Santa Barbara to one run on 3 hits as Dos Pueblos won on the road 3-1 to tighten up the Channel League race.

Santa Barbara falls into a first-place tie with San Marcos at 9-2 and DP is right behind them at 8-3.

The sophomore Speshyock, who has already verbally committed to Oregon State, saved his best work for the sixth inning.

Clinging to a 2-1 lead, he escaped a no outs, runner on third jam by getting a groundout and striking out the last two batters.
