SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - San Marcos High School boys soccer is moving on in the CIF-SS playoffs after blanking Oxnard 3-0 in a first round division 2 game.

The Royals will be on the road Saturday against Norwalk.

Cade McLean scored the lone goal of the first half and fellow senior AJ Ranii made an emphatic return from injury with two second half goals for the undefeated Royals (12-0-1).

McLean scored in the 28th minute after taking a back-heeled pass from Yahir Vasquez.

Ranii missed significant time this season due to a concussion but it was many happy returns as he scored on a penalty kick in the 45th minute and he scored again in the 53rd minute after a terrific cross from Isaac Diaz.
