Ellington steps down as head football coach at Santa Maria High School

Dan Ellington stepped down as head football coach at Santa Maria High School.

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Dan Ellington who had a successful six-year run as head football coach of the Santa Maria Saints has stepped down.

The 57-year old Ellington turned around the Saints program and won a league title in 2017 and also advanced to the CIF-SS Division 12 title game that season.

Before Santa Maria, Ellington was the head football coach at Pioneer Valley.
