State postpones youth sports update so CIF competition remains on hold

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Due to rising Covid-19 cases across the state Governor Gavin Newsom along with health secretary Mark Ghaly postponed updating youth sports guidelines.

CIF competitions are not allowed until new guidelines are provided.

Some high school sports such as volleyball and water polo are scheduled to begin in less than a month but they are in a holding pattern right now.
