Santa Barbara High School has begun conditioning drills at SB Junior High

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Dons have to take baby steps as they return to action but they are not crying about it.

Santa Barbara High School football began conditioning this week under strict Covid-19 health and safety protocols.

The Dons are doing physical fitness activity without any equipment and footballs.

The players are working out in small clusters at Santa Barbara Junior High School as Peabody Stadium is still not ready for use.

Despite the limitations on what they can do, the team is happy to be back together as they try and capture last season's success.

Behind Wisconsin-commit quarterback Deacon Hill, the Dons finished runner-up for the CIF-SS Division 8 title.
