Salute to Seniors: Pioneer Valley softball standout Gomez will play in college

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Pioneer Valley High School senior Monique Gomez was a standout on the softball field and in the classroom for the Panthers.

She will now continue her athletic and academic career at Dakota Wesleyan University next year located in South Dakota.

The four-year varsity starter for the Panthers received a 21,000 Randall Scholarship.

She played with her older sister for a couple of seasons at PV but now they will play against each other in college as her sister plays in the same league, the GPAC as will Monique with Dakota Wesleyan University.
