Salute to Seniors: Lompoc High School four-sport athlete Derek Argel
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Derek Argel was a busy student-athlete at Lompoc High School.
The senior played four varsity sports during his time with the Braves.
He did cross-country and water polo in the fall. Argel was an All-CIF Honorable Mention in water polo.
In the winter Argel was a varsity letterman in wrestling where he competed in the 152 pound weight class.
He was starting his second varsity season of baseball for Lompoc when the season was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Argel pitched and played outfielder for the Braves.
