Dons take over first place in Channel League

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- Bryce Warrecker scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Santa Barbara Dons to a 55-39 win over Cabrillo in a first-place matchup in the Channel League.

Santa Barbara trailed 13-7 after one quarter but came to life late in the second quarter thanks to the energy of senior Jackson Gonzales.

He made several steals and scored all 10 of his points in the game in the second quarter. He made back-to-back three pointers and the Dons led 27-20 at halftime.

Santa Barbara is now 3-0 in league, Cabrillo is 2-1.
