Cate beats Bishop Diego behind hat trick from Fofanah

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- Buba Fofanah scored three goals to lead the visiting Cate Rams to a 4-1 win against Tri-Valley League opponent Bishop Diego.

The home Cardinals scored in the first minute of the game when Michael Luckhurst lobbed the ball over the keeper's head.

But it was all Cate from there as they tied the game up just minutes later on Fofanah's first goal.

His second goal extended the Rams lead to 3-1 in the 19th minute and that was the score at halftime.

Fofanah scored the only goal of the second half as Cate handed Bishop Diego their first loss of the season as the Cards drop to 5-1-1. Cate is 4-0.
