UCSB Baseball gets berth into NCAA Regional and heads to Arizona

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Gauchos ended the regular season on an eight-game winning streak and they get to continue the 2021 campaign in the postseason.
UCSB gained an at-large berth into the NCAA Regional and will open up against Oklahoma State in the Tucson Regional on Friday at 1pm Pacific Time.
The other two teams in that regional are host Arizona and Grand Canyon.
According to the NCAA Selection Committee, the Gauchos were one of the last four schools into the playoffs.
The Gauchos under ten-year head coach Andrew Checketts are 39-18 this season and will be making back-to-back postseason appearances and fifth since 2013.
UCSB is led by ace pitcher Michael McGreevy who is 9-1 and could be a first-round selection in the upcoming Major League Baseball Draft.
