Gauchos end regular season with eight straight wins to boost Regionals résumé

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UCSB baseball took care of business in the final two weekends of the regular season.

The Gauchos powered their way to an 11-5 win over Cal State Bakersfield in Sunday's season finale, finishing a four-game weekend sweep and extending their winning streak to eight games heading into Monday's NCAA Selection Show.

Broc Mortensen and Marcos Castanon homered for UCSB (39-18, 29-11 Big West).

Sitting in second place in the Big West, the Gauchos now hope for an at-large NCAA Regionals bid.
