Gauchos four seniors lead team into NCAA Tournament.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - It has been many happy returns for four UCSB volleyball stars.

All-Americans Randy DeWeese, Roy McFarland, Casey McGarry and Keenan Sanders all decided to come back for a second senior season to see if they could lead the Gauchos to their first-ever national title in program history.

The Gauchos won the Big West Championship to earn their first berth into the NCAA Tournament in ten years.

UCSB will meet Pepperdine on Tuesday, May 4 in a quarterfinal match and the winner faces top-seed Hawai'i in a semifinal game.

The Gauchos were ranked #3 in the nation in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Seniors had the option of returning to play another season and so UCSB's 'Fantastic Four' decided to put their life on hold for another shot at glory.

UCSB is once again ranked #3 in the nation and they enter the NCAA Tournament having won 10 straight matches.
