SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Matthew Strother pitched seven solid innings and Santa Barbara City College beat Ventura College 8-3 on Saturday afternoon.

The Vaqueros improved to 12-7 and 4-2 in conference play. The Pirates fell to 7-12 and 2-7.
