Why are you running for office?I’m running to stand up for the people, students, parents, and businesses, all Californians who have been over-taxed and under-represented.
I’m running against a dysfunctional legislature in Sacramento, against agenda-driven policies being passed by a two-thirds majority instead of delivering solutions to the issues facing us, like our children’s education, mental health, 10,000 more homeless people on the streets in one decade, and a tax exodus of businesses and jobs. I’m running for Assembly District 30 to represent the voice of the people and
be a voice that will impact the direction our state is headed!
What makes you qualified for the job?I’m the best candidate for this job to serve the constituents of Assembly District 30 because I’m here to listen, act, and communicate the voice of the people I’m elected to represent. I will work collaboratively across the aisle with local and state agencies. I’m reachable and accountable and I care about our community, it’s my home. I’m the better candidate because I will bring balance to the legislature to advocate for policies that will grow our business community, keep our neighborhoods safe and broaden our education opportunities.
What are your two main priorities if you win?I have several main priorities which include Public Safety, Education, Homelessness, and Mental Health.
How will you collaborate with other governments? Sacramento’s policies of a one size fits all model are not working. Communities want local control, and I will work with the community, elected officials, and government agencies to make sure their concerns and voice are being heard in Sacramento. I have found that when working with government agencies keeping the focus to bring solutions will help to accomplish an outcome that works, however, when a one-party “trifecta” government focuses on party politics it leaves out the voice of the people and that’s a model I’d like to see change.
What are the next two issues that are most important to you?The two issues that are important to me are the issues I’ve heard from the people. Folks across the District are concerned about public safety/safe neighborhoods, and better education opportunities, along with effective solutions that address homelessness and mental health. These are tasks I will address when I am elected.
