Pedestrian hospitalized with serious injuries after early morning crash in Camarillo

CAMARILLO, Calif. - One man was hospitalized with serious injuries following an early morning crash in Camarillo Saturday.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office said it happened around 4:28 a.m.

Crews with the Camarillo Police Department, Ventura County Fire and AMR responded to reports of a crash at the intersection of Lewis Road and Temple Avenue.

Upon arriving, investigators determined a silver Kia sedan had been traveling northbound on Lewis Road when it crashed into a 29-year-old man just north of the intersection.

The man was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the driver of the Kia stayed at the scene.

This crash is under investigation by the Camarillo Police Traffic Bureau. Anyone who might have witnessed the collision is urged to contact Senior Deputy Shawn Holzberger at 805-388-5146.
